April Celebrations and Milestones at Pediatric Therapy
🌼 Celebrating Growth, Inclusion, and Development: A Look Back at April at Pediatric Therapy 🌼
April was a month full of color, community, and care at Pediatric Physical and Occupational Therapy. From observing meaningful awareness events to enjoying festive holidays and continuing our Baby Milestone Classes, we’ve had a truly rewarding month with the families we serve.
Here’s a look back at everything we celebrated this April, along with some exciting highlights and ways we continue to support your child’s development.
🌟 Occupational Therapy Month
April is Occupational Therapy (OT) Month, and we took this opportunity to highlight the important and life-changing work our incredible OT team does every single day.
Our occupational therapists play a critical role in helping children improve their ability to play, learn, move, and participate in daily life. This month, we spotlighted some of their favorite tools and techniques in therapy.
-
Alex shared her love for bubbles, a simple but effective therapy tool. She explained how bubbles help with visual tracking, pointer finger isolation, and even emotional regulation.
-
Adelina introduced us to the Zoom Ball, a fun and interactive way to build upper body strength, bilateral coordination, and social skills.
-
Kelly chose Squigz, which support upper body strength and bilateral coordination through creative play.
Each of these tools reflects how our therapists incorporate fun and functionality into every session, tailoring each child’s therapy experience to be joyful and effective.
💙 World Autism Awareness Day – April 2nd
We proudly recognized World Autism Awareness Day by spreading awareness, encouraging inclusion, and celebrating the unique strengths of those on the autism spectrum.
Our social posts encouraged open conversations, shared supportive resources, and highlighted the importance of understanding sensory differences and communication needs. Every child deserves a safe and supportive space to thrive—and that’s what we aim to provide in our clinic and community.
😄 April Fools’ Day – April 1st
We kicked off the month with laughter and fun on April Fools’ Day! With a kid-friendly joke (“Why did the cow go to space? Because it wanted to see the moooon!”), we reminded families of the importance of joy and humor in a child’s life. Smiles and giggles are just as important as milestones in a child’s journey—and we love creating space for both.
🌈 Passover – Began April 12th
We honored Passover by sending warm wishes to the families who observe this meaningful holiday. Passover is a time of reflection, tradition, and family togetherness—and we were proud to celebrate it with our community from April 12th through April 20th.
🐣 Easter – April 20th
While Easter technically began at the end of March, many families celebrated into the first week of April. Our Easter post highlighted the joy and excitement of springtime, and we shared our best wishes for a peaceful, bright, and loving holiday filled with laughter, family fun, and chocolate bunnies!
💚 Continuing Support for Cerebral Palsy Awareness
Although Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month takes place in March, we carried the momentum into April by continuing to highlight the importance of early intervention and ongoing support for children with CP.
We celebrated amazing stories of progress—like Abby’s! Abby’s story showed us that no step forward is too small to celebrate. She’s gone from scooting to walking, jumping, and preparing for her first dance recital—and we’ve been honored to support her along the way.
👶 Ongoing Baby Milestone Classes
Our Baby Milestone Classes continued through April, offering essential support for parents during the earliest and most important stages of development. Each class is designed to guide parents with expert insight and age-appropriate strategies.

🎉 Wrapping Up April with Gratitude
As April draws to a close, we are filled with gratitude for the many moments of connection, growth, and celebration we’ve shared this month.
From spreading awareness about autism and occupational therapy, to laughing together on April Fools’, to supporting families with baby development milestones, every interaction this month has reminded us of why we do what we do.
Thank you to the families who make our clinic a joyful and inspiring place to grow. We’re honored to be part of your journey, and we can’t wait to see what next month holds.
✨ Looking Ahead
As we step into May, we look forward to more opportunities to support your family, share new stories, and continue growing—together.
Until then, keep celebrating the small wins, the giggles, the cuddles, and the milestones. Every one of them matters.
Happy Spring from all of us at Pediatric Therapy! 🌷
